Perform!
While our chorus is a volunteer group, members do receive some unique solo opportunities. For the 2010-2011 season, several small parts and solos will be cast directly from amongst our chorus members. Additionally, we plan an Opera chorus gala in April which will feature solos by various chorus members as well as some of the most gorgeous opera choruses ever written.
Chorus positions are filled on an as-needed basis throughout the year.

Principal Roles
Principal roles will be cast by audition and recommendation. Please send materials to admin@PugetSoundConcertOpera.org
The Commitment
Rehearsal/performance schedule usually takes place within a two week period. A typical schedule is as follows:- Sunday - 4-10pm - piano rehearsal - staggered calls for principals adding the chorus at 7:30pm.
- Monday - 7-10pm - Orchestra rehearsal #1 in Bellevue
- Wednesday - 7-10pm - Orchestra rehearsal #2 in Seattle
- Friday - 7pm - performance in Bellevue w/ orchestra
- Sunday - 4 or 5pm - performance in Seattle w/ orchestra
- The following Saturday - 4 or 5pm - performance in Friday Harbor with piano only
Compensation
There is a small stipend for principals, generally ranging from $75-200 depending on the size of the role. Some meals are provided.Upcoming Shows
